4. Fees, Payments & Refunds

4.1 Fees

All fees are displayed clearly on our website and booking platform. Fees are charged in Euro (€) and are inclusive of VAT where applicable. Prices may be updated from time to time — the price applicable at the time of booking will apply.

4.2 Payment

All payments are processed securely via Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant payment processor. We accept all major debit and credit cards. QuickGP Ireland does not store your card details.

4.3 Health Insurance

Where applicable, we accept claims through contracted Irish health insurers including VHI, Laya Healthcare, and Irish Life Health. It is your responsibility to confirm your coverage with your insurer in advance. We cannot guarantee that all services will be covered by your particular plan.

4.4 Refunds

Refunds are processed in accordance with our cancellation policy above. In the event of a clinical service not being delivered due to a fault on our part, a full refund will be issued. Refunds are processed within 5–10 business days to the original payment method. If you believe you are owed a refund, please contact info@quickgpireland.com.

4.5 Membership Subscriptions

Membership plans are billed on a monthly recurring basis via Stripe. You may cancel your membership at any time by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial-month refunds are issued unless the clinic cancels the plan.

5. Medical Disclaimer & Limitations of Service

Important Medical Disclaimer

QuickGP Ireland is a private, non-emergency medical service. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, do not use this service. Call 112 or 999 immediately or attend your nearest Accident & Emergency Department.

  • Our services are provided in good faith by registered medical practitioners using professional clinical judgement
  • A consultation does not guarantee a specific diagnosis, treatment outcome, or prescription
  • The prescribing clinician retains full clinical discretion at all times — we reserve the right to decline to prescribe any medication where it is not clinically appropriate
  • Remote consultations have inherent limitations compared to in-person assessments — your clinician may refer you for face-to-face review if clinically indicated
  • We do not replace your GP, local health centre, or hospital services — we are a supplementary private service
  • Clinical advice provided during a consultation is specific to the information available at the time and should not be applied to future presentations without reassessment

6. In-Clinic & Surgical Procedures — Specific Terms

6.1 Informed Consent

All surgical and procedural interventions require your signed informed consent prior to commencement. You will be provided with a full explanation of the procedure, its risks, benefits, and alternatives. Signing a consent form is a prerequisite — no procedure will be carried out without it.

6.2 Pre-Procedure Requirements

For certain procedures, pre-procedural instructions may be issued (e.g. stopping blood-thinning medications, fasting requirements, wound preparation). It is your responsibility to follow these instructions. Failure to do so may result in the procedure being postponed for your safety.

6.3 Risks & Complications

All medical and surgical procedures carry inherent risks. Common risks include but are not limited to: bruising, bleeding, infection, scarring, allergic reaction to anaesthetic, and incomplete treatment effect. Rare but serious complications may also occur. These will be discussed in full during your pre-procedure consultation. QuickGP Ireland is not liable for complications that arise despite appropriate clinical care being delivered to the accepted standard of practice.

6.4 Histopathology

Where tissue is excised and sent for laboratory analysis (histopathology), results are typically returned within 2–4 weeks. You will be contacted by the clinic with your results. It is your responsibility to maintain up-to-date contact information with us.

6.5 Post-Procedure Responsibility

Following any procedure, written aftercare instructions will be provided. It is your responsibility to follow these instructions. The clinic accepts no liability for complications arising from failure to comply with post-operative care guidance. If you experience unexpected symptoms after a procedure, contact us immediately or attend A&E if urgent.

7. Prescription & Medication Policy

  • Prescriptions are issued solely at the clinical discretion of the treating doctor
  • We do not issue prescriptions for controlled substances (Schedule 2 or 3 drugs) without a full clinical assessment and appropriate medical history
  • Repeat prescriptions are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and are not automatically approved — a clinical review may be required
  • ePrescriptions are transmitted electronically to your nominated pharmacy. You are responsible for collecting and using your medication as directed
  • We do not accept responsibility for interactions between newly prescribed and pre-existing medications if accurate information was not provided to the clinician
  • Off-label prescriptions (where a medication is used outside its licensed indication) will be explained and require your explicit consent
  • Topical, medicated, and compounded skin preparations prescribed for dermatological conditions must be used strictly as directed — misuse may cause adverse skin reactions

8. Patient Responsibilities

By using our services, you agree to:

  • Provide complete, accurate, and honest information about your medical history, symptoms, current medications, and allergies
  • Inform the clinician of any changes to your health status before or during a consultation
  • Not misuse the service to obtain prescriptions you are not clinically entitled to
  • Treat all clinical and administrative staff with respect — abusive, threatening, or inappropriate behaviour will result in immediate termination of services
  • Keep your login credentials and patient portal access secure and not share them with others
  • Attend or connect to appointments punctually
  • Follow prescribed treatment plans, post-operative care, and medication instructions as directed
  • Contact emergency services (112/999) if you are in a medical emergency — not this service

9. Acceptable Use of Website & Platform

You agree not to:

  • Use the platform for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of our systems or patient records
  • Submit false, misleading, or fabricated medical information
  • Use our platform to impersonate another person or patient
  • Interfere with the functionality or security of our website or booking system
  • Reproduce, republish, or redistribute any content from this website without express written permission
  • Reverse-engineer, copy, or create derivative works based on our platform or clinical tools

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently revoke access to any user who violates these terms.

10. Confidentiality & Data Protection

All personal and medical data is processed in strict accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms of Service. We are fully GDPR compliant and registered with the Irish Data Protection Commission. Key principles:

  • Your medical information is kept strictly confidential and is accessible only to treating clinicians and essential administrative staff
  • We never sell or share your data for commercial purposes
  • Clinical photographs, biopsy results, and surgical records are retained in accordance with Irish medico-legal requirements
  • You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data (subject to legal retention obligations)

11. Referrals & Third-Party Providers

Where we refer you to a third-party provider — such as a specialist consultant, radiology centre, laboratory, or physiotherapist — we act only as the referring clinician. QuickGP Ireland is not responsible for the quality, availability, or conduct of third-party providers. You are entering into a separate relationship with those providers, subject to their own terms and conditions.

We are not liable for delays in receiving results from laboratories or radiology centres, or for any treatment decisions made by third-party specialists following our referral.

12. Intellectual Property

All content on the QuickGP Ireland website — including text, graphics, logos, clinical information, and software — is the intellectual property of QuickGP Ireland and is protected under Irish and EU copyright law. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or distribute any content without our express written permission.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Irish law, QuickGP Ireland shall not be liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of our services
  • Adverse outcomes that result from information withheld by the patient during consultation
  • Technical failures of third-party platforms (video, payment, laboratory) outside our control
  • Clinical complications that arise despite treatment being delivered to the accepted standard of care
  • Delays in receiving laboratory or specialist results from third-party providers

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under Irish law.

14. Complaints Procedure

We take all complaints seriously. If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of our service, please:

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time in response to changes in law, clinical practice, or our services. The most current version will always be available on this page. Continued use of our services after changes are published constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

16. Governing Law
